By when can I cancel atraveo by Interhome (e-domizil)?
What notice period applies?
The atraveo by Interhome FAQ states: “The cooperation can be cancelled by 30 November each year, effective at the end of the calendar year.” This means that if you no longer want to rent through atraveo from 1 January 2027, your cancellation must arrive by 30 November 2026. If you miss the deadline, your contract will continue until the end of 2027.
The FAQ doesn’t say how you should cancel. Check your contract. Cancel in writing, keep a copy and ask for confirmation that it’s been received. For enquiries, Interhome refers you to the contact form in the owner portal.
What happens to existing bookings?
- Confirmed bookings remain binding. According to the FAQ, they must go ahead as booked even after the cooperation ends. So a booking for February 2027 will still take place.
- You can block periods at any time, even without cancelling. You decide when your property is available.
- Cancellations: If a guest cancels from 60 days before arrival, you receive the cancellation fees under Interhome’s customer terms and conditions, less commission, unless the property is re-let.
What does atraveo cost you now?
For landlords resident in Switzerland, the deduction is 17.5% plus VAT on the rental price, including additional costs paid in advance. For others, it’s 19.5%. If you calculate VAT at 8.1% on the commission, the total is 18.92%.
| Channel | Rate | Cost on CHF 840 | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| atraveo by Interhome | 17.5% + 8.1% VAT = 18.92% | CHF 158.91 | CHF 681.09 |
| Airbnb since 13 October 2026 | 15.5% + 8.1% VAT = 16.76% | CHF 140.75 | CHF 699.25 |
| Booking.com, 15% + payments | 16.6% | CHF 139.44 | CHF 700.56 |
| Direct booking with QR invoice | 0% | CHF 0 | CHF 840.00 |
It’s unclear whether VAT at 8.1% is deducted from the commission or accommodation VAT at 3.8% from the rental price. In the second case, it would be 21.3%. Your statement shows what was actually deducted.
How do you decide by 30 November?
- Get your 2026 statement: How many nights and how much revenue came through atraveo, and how much was deducted?
- Work out the share: If you get only a few bookings through atraveo that you could also fill through Airbnb, Booking.com or returning guests, you’re paying the highest rate for little reach.
- Weigh the benefits honestly: atraveo pays 7 days before arrival, handles payments and reminders, and insures damage up to EUR/CHF 3,000 per booking with no excess. With Airbnb or direct bookings, you have to handle more yourself.
- Check where your guests come from: If your atraveo guests come through channels where you wouldn’t otherwise be visible, you may not be able to replace them easily.
- Make your decision by the end of November and keep the confirmation if you cancel.
What options are there instead of or alongside atraveo?
| Option | Costs | What you do yourself |
|---|---|---|
| Airbnb direct | 15.5% + VAT | Listing, calendar, guest contact, tourist tax in BE, VS, GR, TI |
| Booking.com direct or through the destination | 12 to 15% + 1.6% payments | Extranet, calendar, tourist tax |
| Tourist office, for example Lenzerheide | 10% + VAT on rent, CHF 50 per year | Maintain WebClient, on-site service |
| Your own booking website | 0% with QR invoice | Attract guests, check payments |
| Keep atraveo and combine it with other channels | 17.5% + VAT only on atraveo bookings | Keep calendars synchronised |
You don’t have to cancel to take more direct bookings. You can add your own bookings from returning guests in the owner portal. It’s important to keep your calendar up to date, as Interhome bookings take priority if there are double bookings because the calendar wasn’t updated.
After the migration from e-domizil to Interhome, Interhome says you need to replace the old calendar export link with the new Interhome export link. If you don’t, your other channels won’t see your atraveo bookings.
What do you do after cancelling?
- Remove the atraveo calendar from your other channels only after the last confirmed booking has taken place.
- Make periods available on Airbnb, Booking.com or your own website from 1 January 2027.
- Check your contract to see whether you’re allowed to direct guests from atraveo bookings to your own booking website. Interhome is the contracting party.
- From 2027, collect the tourist tax yourself for all bookings and pay it to the local authority. Find the rates under tourist tax.
