Cantonal and regional tourist tax under the Tourism Act (LT) of 8 October 2021 and Tourism Regulations (RT) of 7 December 2021 (both in force from 1 January 2022; the RT has not changed since); standard rate of CHF 3.00 according to the UFT rate sheet (approved by the State Council, as at 1 January 2023; the previous law applied until the end of 2022, Art. 58 LT). Applies in all municipalities in the Canton of Fribourg; municipalities may only charge businesses a tourism tax (Art. 36 LT), not their own guest tax. Collected by the Centrale fribourgeoise d'encaissement (UFT); registration and reporting through CheckIn-FR are mandatory. Landlords report guest nights and collect the tax (Art. 34 para. 3 LT); the owners’ flat rate (150 nights × CHF 3.00, due from 1 March) covers owners and their close family only.
