Bellwald Tourist Tax Regulations (community assembly, 13 June 2019; the PDF gives no approval date, but according to Federal Supreme Court judgment 2C_860/2019, the State Council approved and confirmed them on 4 September 2019). The rate is CHF 5.80 per night for holiday apartments (children aged 6–16 pay half), charged as an annual flat rate after 31 nights (Arts. 4, 6). Exemption applies only to apartments owned by local residents and not rented to guests liable for tourist tax. Collector: Bellwald Tourismus. Report overnight stays by 10 May and 10 November (for statistics). The regulations do not say whether the tax may be passed on to guests. Rented apartments also pay the tourism promotion tax (annual flat rate CHF 140–245), which is paid by the owner. No accommodation tax regulations have been published. Bellwald, Fiesch and Lax will merge to form the municipality of Unnergoms on 1 January 2027 (ballot vote on 15 June 2025). According to the merger report, the tourist tax regulations may remain in force; the State Council must approve new regulations for the merged municipality by 31 December 2031. No Unnergoms Tourist Tax Regulations or new FSO number have been published (as at 6 November 2026).
